NNLC’s “Plug Into Choices” career pathways instructional program helps adults master communication, critical thinking and interpersonal skills that will enable them to pursue college classes or vocational training.
Why NNLC?

18% of all Nevadans 25 years of age and over don’t have a high school diploma. Studies show that high school graduates make an average of 40% more income annually than non-graduates.

Because 45% of the adult population has basic skills deficiencies, adult education services are important to many sectors of society. Northern Nevada Literacy Council, one of Nevada’s eight Adult Basic Education programs, offers classes to provide adults in Washoe County the opportunity to improve their basic skills, English proficiency, or prepare to take the official GED test battery.
