NNLC provides English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Skills, and GED preparatory instruction for adults, 18 years of age and over, who lack a high school diploma or GED or essential basic skills to function successfully in the workplace.

GED Preparatory Instruction

NNLC’s GED Preparatory Instruction 11-week course addresses the five major subject areas in the official GED Test battery:

  • Language Arts, Reading
  • Language Arts, Writing (Essay)
  • Math
  • Social Studies
  • Science

Students take the official GED Practice Test at the beginning of the course to determine their strengths and weaknesses in the academic areas and “zero in” on their weaknesses utilizing NNLC’s computer lab in addition to their classroom instruction.
