Adult Basic Education/Literacy students who need remedial instruction prior to entering GED Preparatory instruction are placed in NNLC's ESL classes based on assessment scores. The student is given an orientation regarding their learning process/responsibility in the ESL learning environment and NNLC has had success as ABE students "learn by teaching" when they accept the responsibility of helping a fellow ESL classmate learn English.
NNLC provides English as a Second Language, Adult Basic Skills, and GED preparatory instruction for adults, 18 years of age and over, who lack a high school diploma or GED or essential basic skills to function successfully in the workplace.
