The NNLC is a great opportunity for employers who wish to enhance their employees’ basic academic and work skills. This can increase employer profitability through our cost-effective training the following areas:

  • NNLC can provide information for employers to distribute to employees as encouragement to attend classes at NNLC. We offer the following classes:

HSE Prep (GED)

HSE Prep includes Reading, Writing, Grammar, Math, Science, and Social Studies.
When: Monday-Thursday
Times: 9am – 11:30am; 12pm – 2:30 pm; 5:30pm – 8pm

English as a Second Language

ESL instruction teaches foreign-born adults how to speak, read, and write English.
When: Monday-Thursday
Times: 9am – 11:30am or 5:30pm – 8pm

Rights and Responsibilities of U.S. Citizenship Classes

Classes provided for foreign-born adults interested in becoming American citizens. Call 775-356-100 for more information.
  • NNLC can provide an instructor on site. NNLC staff is available to meet to help you identify your employee needs and develop a curriculum to address your specific workplace skills and needs.
  • NNLC can custom an instructional program to best fit your workplace needs. Through a Workplace Inventory, we can identify specific academic skills or workplace skills that you require. We can then design a curriculum fitted to those needs and conduct classes on site at a fee-for-service rate.

Workplace Skills

The Workplace Skills program is designed to increase the workplace skills and/or basic academic skills for employees. These programs can be conducted on your worksite or at our learning center.
