Rights and Responsibilities of U.S. Citizenship

Students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship test. Students will be able to answer the 100 civics questions and develop the confidence needed to take the Citizenship test.

Please note that this preparatory class does not guarantee United States Citizenship, and all applicants must meet all U.S. Citizenship criteria. The criteria is as follows:

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Be a lawful permanent resident in the U.S. for 5 years or 3 years if you are married to a U.S. Citizen.
  • Show that you have been physically present in the U.S. for 30 months.
  • Be able to speak, read and write basic English.

This class is offered on the following Saturdays from 10 a.m. – Noon. Registration is preferred. 
(Walk-in registration is not guaranteed. Space is limited!)

Note: A solid base in reading and conversation in English is required for this course. Your level of English will be determined during the registration process.
