Integrated Education and Training (IET) Programs

NNLC’s Integrated Education and Training (IET) programs help adults who lack basic skills, relevant occupational skills, and essential workplace skills to attain the competencies and credentials needed for in-demand careers.  All NNLC students are eligible to enroll in these workforce training programs leading to industry recognized certifications, and can be used to advance to other postsecondary degree programs.  Tuition scholarships are available to NNLC students.  Please see the Career Pathways Coordinator for more information and to enroll in these courses.

Partnering with Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), NNLC is proud to offer the following training programs leading to industry recognized certifications:

Certified Administrative Assistant (CAA) Program:
Prepare for a career as an administrative assistant that can serve across a wide range of professional companies. This training program will cover the many aspects of an administrative assistant’s job. You will learn about general administrative procedures, office equipment and computers, office productivity software, Microsoft Office, business documents, business language and usage, financial activities and career advancement. By the end of this program, you will know how to thrive in this vital position and keep an office running smoothly. Near the end of this program, take the Certified Administrative Assistant Exam from the National Career Certifications Board and gain the credentials to help you land that great job.

IT Basics Program:
IT Basics allows students to develop an understanding of computer functions; master basic programming skills; and develop comfort with web page functions. This program provides the foundation for careers and/or further study in computer programming, software development, cybersecurity, web development, and other related technology fields. At the conclusion of this course, students are prepared to sit for the CompTIA A+ certification exam.
