Out-of-School Youth Program
The Out-of-School Youth Program, Learn & Earn, provides services to qualified out-of-school youth ages 16-24 to include the following:
- Assistance in achieving a high school equivalency
- Access to skills classes to improve reading, writing, and mathematical skills ensuring success in post-secondary education and vocational training.
- Supportive services to ensure success including bus passes, gas cards, books, tuition, uniforms, etc.
NNLC along with its community partners, provides young adults in the Reno/ Sparks/ Carson City area with career training opportunities for full-time employment. Businesses are hiring young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who currently are parents, live in low-income households or find themselves in other challenging circumstances. Learn and Earn connects these young adults who have a talent and desire for success with businesses who want to hire them.
