Northern Nevada Literacy Council welcomes volunteers!

Volunteers are the backbone of this organization.  Our volunteers perform essential work supporting the mission of this organization, “helping adult learners achieve their educational and career goals”.  Volunteers create invaluable links to the community and fill gaps in essential tasks needed by the organization.  

Volunteer skills needed include:

• Tutors in Mathematics, Reading, Writing, and Speaking English
• Teacher Assistants
• Family Reading Program Assistants
• Mentoring Youth
• General Office Duties
• Interpretation Services

*Training and resources including safety, employee and volunteer handbook will be provided.
